Versiris Energy (previously operating as New Energy Equity) installed this 711 kW solar array to offset the electricity load of Protolabs’ manufacturing facility in Plymouth, Minnesota. The panels will produce roughly 839,000 kWh per year, enough to power 71 average Minnesota homes.
The rooftop array will offset 20% of the facilities electrical usage and 1.3 million pounds of carbon dioxide each year. That is the same amount of carbon dioxide sequestered by 775 acres of forest.
